[UTB] Weekly letter v.3
I hope you've had a great first week of studies this year and that you enjoyed the christmas holidays. I'm expecting this semester to be full of student influnce. Here is an update of what I've done as a Student Liaison Officer at the faculty this week.
The educational boards
At this faculty we have two boards that are responsible for the quality within our education. The boards meet three times every semester and this week we among other things discussed the evaluation of the educational programs that the Swedish National Agency of Higher Education is preforming next semester.
UTN's pedagogical award
Every year UTN praise a good pedagogue with a price. This year the price will be distributed during our 10th anniversery. Come and celebratate our great teachers!
Studentservice
Next week we'll begin to treat the survey-answers for the survey we sent out at the end of last week. We'll keep on working with the student service project that the faculty has started. If you have any opinion in student service please send an e-mail or contact me any other way.

Next week me and Marie will be at geocentrum discussing student work enviroment during lunch. We'll give you coffee and a cookie if you stop by =)
This week pragraph of The Higher Education Ordinance:
Chapter 2 Section 14
Section 7 of Chapter 2 of the Higher Education Act (1992:1434) contains a provision on the entitlement of students to representation when decisions or preparations are made.
If decisions or preparations are to be made by one single individual, information is to be provided and consultation take place with a student representative in ample time before the decision is made or preparations concluded.
If a decision is to be made by a group of individuals pursuant to Section 6 of Chapter 2 of the Higher Education Act, the students are entitled to representation by at least three members. The number of student representatives in such a group may however be fewer if there are special grounds in view of the total number of members in the group.
In other respects the higher education institution itself decides on the entitlement of students to the representation stipulated in the first paragraph above. Ordinance (2010:1064).
